That said, the contract for the site is coming up for renewal. If anyone would like to see this site remain up, please drop me a line and let me know you look at it. Otherwise I have backups of the software, and I am probably going to let the domain lapse. I can bring it up again when I finally retire in a few years and can work on it again. For now, I am still getting adjusted to a new job, and looking for teaching positions again, so I am overwhelmed and do not even check this regularly.

First, I put a slide show option under the flash cards. It turned out to be not to hard at all (it only took about an evening, but the data and lots of infrastructure were already in place). Let me know what you think...
I am also thinking of adding flash cards to the application. Anyone is welcome to try them, but they are targeted at the people planning to take the LBG test. If you plan to take the LBG test, and think this would be useful to you, please consider donating to the effort.

The site has grown a lot recently. I have added the capability for others to add their pictures of Gettysburg, as well as give information about the monuments at Gettysburg. There are many fascinating stories about these monuments, and I hope some of you will help me develop the site by obtaining an account and providing some of these stories. I also hope that some readers who are less "photographically challenged" then myself will post pictures of the monuments.
I should mention that I now have over 740 monuments, landmarks, etc, in the database, and most have the entire text on the monument. I have about 200 more before I get the initial load of monuments into the database. So there has been progress made in this area also.

I still have many plans for the site. I want to add the ability to add the Gettysburg specific history of units (Corps, Division, Brigade, Regiment, and Company) histories for units that were at Gettysburg. However this is in the future. There are also many other additions I would like to make as I have time. So stop back occasionally and see how this is coing.
